"In A Dark, Dark Room" Retold By Alvin Schwartz

This is yet another Alvin Schwartz book this time on tape. It contains Word-For-Word narration of the book with music and sound effects. I only offer Side 1 of the tape here so far. Side 1 has turn-the-page signals at the end of each story. Side 2 is uninterruppted reading of each story. There's no credit anywhere I can find as to the narrator here, but it sounds a lot like George S. Irving on this one as well. Eventually I will put up Side 2, and perhaps scans of each page of the book.

American Folklore.net

Author S.E. Schlosser has built a website, American Folklore, that has some really good stories from the books she writes. She also reads her spooky stories as podcasts and you can download them on the site. But I have made a playlist using them so, listen!
